Some of the most valuable research starts with a list a client already owns — a CRM export, a customer file, a prospect list, a roster of HCPs they want to hear from. Until now, activating that list for research often meant cobbling together vendors, wrestling with PII handling, and hoping enough of the audience was reachable to actually field a study.
We've productized this end-to-end. Emporia now supports client-sourced lists as a first-class recruiting input across B2B and healthcare, with the data infrastructure and workflow controls to make it actually work.
What you can do with a list
Run double-blinded research. Clients are (rightly) cautious about turning over PII to a third party. We support hashed email matching so a client's list can be activated against our universe without either side exposing identifiable customer data. That same workflow opens up competitive research: hand us a targeted prospect set and we'll field against it the same way, with insights tied back to your internal data and respondent identities protected throughout.
Hydrate it against our data lake. Hand us a list and we enrich each record against our proprietary data lake of 800M+ professionals and our own respondent signals. That means richer profiling, better screening, and the ability to qualify respondents you might otherwise miss — without going back to the client for more fields.
Match on NPI for healthcare. For HCP research, hashed email isn't always the cleanest key. NPI is the durable identifier. We support NPI as a primary lookup mechanism against our healthcare universe, so a client list of licensed providers can be matched precisely without relying on email at all. Combine it with hydration from our data lake and you get a verified provider list with specialty, affiliation, and practice context attached.
Build lookalikes off the list. A client list isn’t always big enough on its own. We can use the list as a seed to identify lookalike respondents in our data lake — same firmographic, professional, and behavioral fingerprint — to expand the surveyable universe and keep fielding moving when the original list runs thin. For brands, this turns a static customer file into a growing research community.
Manage it yourself or hand it off. Clients can track progress, monitor fielding, and manage the engagement directly in mrxCore. Or they can hand the whole thing to our team and just receive results. Same capability, two operating models.
How we price it
We've kept this simple: CPI + a fixed fee. The CPI covers completes the way it always has. The fixed fee covers the list ingestion, hydration, hashing, and matching work. Our model reflects the value of what’s delivered to the client.
Why this matters
For B2B and healthcare specifically, this changes the math on hard-to-reach audiences. A pharma brand with a list of 5,000 specialists, an enterprise software company with a target account list, a medical device manufacturer with a customer file — all of these can now run research against their own audience, expand it with lookalikes, and tie completes back to their internal data, with privacy preserved throughout.
If you have a list and a research question, we'd love to talk.
